Rui Pinho, Vice-chairman of EMEA BKR International Board and Partner of Esteves, Pinho & Associados was elect Vice President of the Portuguese Auditors Professional Body

In a ceremony that took place in the beautiful auditorium of the “Casa das Histórias Paula Rego”, in Cascais, near Lisbon, this past 7th of January, the newly members of the Portuguese Auditors Professional Body “ OROC – Ordem dos Revisores Oficiais de Contas” were elected for the triennium 21/23.

This event was attended by the Portuguese Secretary of State for Tax Affairs, António Mendonça Mendes, the President of the Portuguese Court of Auditors, Judge Counsellor José Tavares, the Mayor of Cascais, Carlos Carreiras, and the new President elected, Virgilio Macedo. The former Prime Minister, Pedro Passos Coelho, was also present.

On the side-line of the event Rui Pinho said that “It is truly an honour to be Vice-president and part the newly elected team of the Auditors Professional Body, elected under the slogan “An Institution for the Profession, a Profession for the Country”. As a team, we will reinforce the recognition of the Auditor profession, its performance and its values: integrity, independence and professional competence, to provide value to companies, institutions and all society, as well as to support its members towards the improvement of the services provided. It’s a great responsibility, but I am sure that we have the support and effort of all Auditors, so we can deliver our mission.”

This event was held under the strict rules and recommendations emitted by the Portuguese Health Authority.
